Praying is actually quite simple. All you have to do is say: "Please help me to achieve this or that", and then give thanks as if the wish had already come true. Anyone can do that.
Whoever does not pray will be given less. Because God and the angels respect our will and only start to help us when we ask for it. So the more we ask, the more help we get!
Here are a few rules to follow when praying:
Firstly, one should always pray in such a way that it is for the highest and best good of all. If this is not the case, the prayer will not (or not immediately) be answered. For example, if one asks for a partner, although it is better for one's soul at the moment to live another two years without a partner, then the fulfilment of the wish will be somewhat delayed.
Secondly, one should always ask in such a way that it is also best for oneself. For example, if you ask for a certain job that is not best for you from God's point of view, then you will probably not get that job. Sometimes it is better to leave your wish to God. Because in the end, God always knows better what you need most right now. An open request would be ideal in this case. It could be formulated like this: "Thank you, dear God, for showing me now what really serves me".
Thirdly: The time aspect. Sometimes you are impatient, you want something immediately - but it is just too early. Then it is good not to lose confidence and to know that prayers will be answered when it is best for oneself. Here it is also important to realise that impatience usually delays the answering of our prayers.
Fourth: The result. If you ask for something specific but get something else, there is always a reason: the subconscious wants something different from the conscious. How do you resolve this contradiction? By asking for the differences between consciousness and subconsciousness to dissolve. This helps to ensure that no inner resistance arises after praying.
