What to do in case of dissatisfaction?

Dissatisfaction is an unpleasant feeling, but it crops up again and again in our lives. Be it because of a job, a partner or self-dissatisfaction. It is important to give this feeling space, to feel it, accept it and understand why you are dissatisfied. Instead of turning dissatisfaction into an inner attitude or habit, we should look at it from the outside and feel it so that it can dissolve. Otherwise, dissatisfaction attracts even more dissatisfaction.

Dissatisfaction: Things are not going the way we want them to.

Dissatisfaction often arises when our expectations and wishes are not fulfilled. There are times when we desperately want something but don't get it despite our best efforts. On the other hand, we can lose ourselves in the illusion of wanting something and be unhappy when it doesn't materialise in our lives. It can happen that we long for something that is not good for us at all. In the end, it may be better for us if this desire does not materialise and we can free ourselves from an illusion that makes us unhappy.

In both cases, our dissatisfaction lies in the discrepancy between our expectations and the reality of life.

How can you overcome your dissatisfaction?

The first thing you can do, as I said, is observe the fact that the dissatisfaction is there. Sometimes that is enough. It may be that you just had the "wrong" thoughts and shortly afterwards dissatisfaction arose from them. Dissatisfaction does not have to be permanent and can be easily resolved, as here, through observation and acceptance.

Secondly, you can compare your desires (the true desires of your heart) with reality. If there is a difference between the two, you need to go deeper into your subconscious and dissolve the obstructive beliefs so that desire and reality match.

Thirdly, you can ask yourself the question: What does this dissatisfaction do for me? Sometimes we have (unconsciously) created dissatisfaction in order not to reach a goal we want to achieve. This can happen out of fear, but also out of guilt towards other people.

If you follow these three tips, you increase the likelihood that your dissatisfaction will disappear sooner or later.
